CIC Bluetooth Options (Eng) - KiwiNL - 01-20-2021

Hi all,
Firstly, sorry for raising another post on this. Two reasons: 1) I have done my best to follow the Dutch language, but would like to clarify some points. 2) I haven't seen a recent or summary post Big Grin

So, I have the 2013 F21, Navi Business (MOVE), CIC with no Combox in boot, Bluetooth calls no music.

I want to enable BT audio (Android phone).

I have searched all threads and see the below options:

1) Combox installation (BMW service station says they cannot do this)
2) Use a Bluetooth USB stick (no Idrive control)
3) Tune2Air Y cable. Does anyone have experience with this? (All reviews I have read say this is aweful with Android, for E100 better off with a bluetooth USB stick)
4) Replace BMW unit with aftermarket Android Screen (not my ideal option).
5) Replace radio portion with Bluetooth capable radio head unit (No IDrive)

Leaves two suitable options:

6) USB stick with Android Auto (~E50, but to use IDrive would also need a Android screen update?. Plug in option only).
Does anyone have experience with these allowing Android Auto on the standard CIC screen, even through a USB cable connection? Might be worth spending less and using a cable if you can use full Idrive control anyway. Then I don't mind the phone being connected as I don't need to pick it up anyway.

7) Retrofit AutoAndroid (Method from Haldon).

It seems if I want Bluetooth audio with IDrive integration, the best option is to go with the the Auto Android retrofit?

Has anyone experience with this. It says NBT, but in the description it goes on to say CIC:

And the above work entirely wirelessly with android, and with IDrive?
Or must still use USB connection?
